Feathers for a Friend

Hello creative friends, I hope you are doing well. I have another card to show you. This one is simple and cute, or as the challenge says, clean and graphic; even though the ink splatter makes it look intentionally messy. This card is for a dear friend of mine who I miss very much since moving and I just want to remind her that I am always thinking of her because she is wonderful!
This Card is for the Card Concept Challenege #14 featuring White, Black, Red and Teal. It uses the Feather and Ink Blot new stamps I ordered a few weeks ago. (I really ordered that stamp set only for the feather as Gorgeous Grunge has ink blot stamps.) I love how this card turned out and even though it is simple I think it is vibrant. What do you think?

Here is a close-up of the Feather 'pen' coloured to look as if it was dipped in a ink pot:

VW Cards

Hello there friends here are some of those cards I was mentioning that I made and I want to share with you. You probably noticed that the stamp set I used for the focal image is one of the new ones I just got from 123stitch. I live that site, so many cute things and good deals.

Anyways, onto the cards. This first one is for my cousin Carolyn who we stayed with for a month while waiting to get into our house. Carolyn drives an old yellow bug so this was perfect for her.
I used the sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things #185.

Here is a close-up of the VW Beetle. I think the speech bubble makes it seem like Herbie.

This next card I made for my husband to congratulate him on working at his new job. (He started back in May and I gave him a card then but his gift just came in so I need a card to go with that.) It uses the same VW bug stamp set from DeepRed as He has a 1961 Orange VW Beetle and is a VW car enthusiast. I used some stamps from past Paper Pumpkin Kits, Petite Pairs and Gorgeous Grunge on this card and I think adding the Cherry Cobbler ink and CS helped make the colour scheme more masculine.
For this card I used the layout from Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #102.

Here is a close-up of the Beetle. I fussy cut this one out and coloured using my blender pens.

Here is the sketch I used for this card.

Ombre Dandelions Painting

So I meant to post his weeks ago as this painting was done by the middle of June, but c'est la vie. I made this canvas art for my sister-in-law's birthday in June and I thought it would be a good thing to make her something for the home she and my brother-in-law just bought. It's a black white and grey ombre and I like how it turned out. the hardest part was mixing four different grey's to give the right effect.

This canvas art piece was inspired by my last post and this bag, available on Etsy.

Large canvas leather tote bag. Black ombre tote with embroidered dandelion. Cotton/leather beach shopping bag.

Thank you for checking out my blog today,
-Jill
